If what they meant to say was that the "rate of unemployment is slowing", I don't understand how the equivalent of "I'm going broke slower than I did last year" mean that things are ok now.

The local news on KRLD 1080 had a report that the recession is over. I ventured over to shadowstats.com to see what they had to say about the unemployment rate. This is what I found:
